Leslie Loves...{1.01}

I've gotta give Ashley Beam (aka Arnold) some credit for convincing me to start this blog.  Here's an excerpt from a recent email she sent me:
"So...if you could please just keep passing along product recos, that would be amazing.  Because I'll likely purchase everything you recommend.  Maybe you should start a blog that I can follow."
Given that little push (and several more) from Arnold, I am going to try to post about my current obsessions (aka "Leslie Loves...") on a regular basis.  I don't want to commit to posting these every single week because I only want to include things that are truly obsession-worthy (according to my expert opinion, of course!).  Just a little forewarning:  my must-haves tend to be random...and they might not always be physical "things" (iPhone apps, shopping websites, etc.).

With all that being said, let's get on to the fun stuff!

Ugg Slippers

Hands-down the most comfortable thing(s)--{sidenote:  I never know if shoes should be singular since it's one PAIR of shoes or plural since there are two of them...sorry, my Type-A/OCD/Grammar Nazi personality makes me clarify this.}--I own.  I probably shouldn't admit this, but I wear these things everywhere. They have a real sole, so that makes it ok...right?!!?  I know $100 for slippers is a bit steep, but I can assure you they are WELL.WORTH.IT.  They only come in whole sizes, so go up a size if you are a 1/2 size.

Proof via Instagram photo that I'd wear these babies to work if I could!
This scent is TO.DIE.FOR...especially for your linens (towels, sheets, etc.).  It's a little pricey, but you can make it last longer by just supplementing your normal laundry detergent with a couple of cap-fulls of Diva Wash and still get the long-lasting fabulous scent. It's addicting. You'll never go back to doing laundry without it. I've got confirmation that it's not overly "girly," as all of the men in my life (Ryan, my dad, Landon, my granddad) like their clothes to be washed with it.  I tend to add a bit more when washing Ryan's golf shirts in the summer, so when he sweats, the fresh/clean scent really comes out.  The detergent comes in 10 different Tyler Candle Co. fragrances, but my ultimate favorite is the Diva scent.  It also comes in several different sizes:
  • 4 oz. for $9.95 - this is the perfect size if you just want to try it to see if you like it, but I guarantee you'll be buying a larger size before you know it.
  • 16 oz. for $19.00 - perfect for a gift
  • 32 oz. for $28.50 - also perfect for a gift
  • 1 gallon for $90.00 - buy this size for yourself (once you've confirmed you love it and aren't allergic to it!).

Tyler Candle Co., Diva Wash, Glamour Wash Laundry Detergent

I washed the monogrammed shirts that I gave my bridal party in Diva Wash,
and I also gave them a small (4 oz.) container of the detergent in their tote bags.
Several of them have already ordered more...I told you it's addicting!  :)

Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Tan Towels

I hate being pasty-white, but I refuse to subject myself to a tanning bed...so this is my solution!  These towels provide a much more even faux tan than the liquid sprays or lotions.  And the result is natural-looking, not oompa loompa orange. These tan towels also come in a smaller version if you're just looking to add some color to your face.  In fact, Sephora currently has a limited edition set that includes two face-size tan towels and two full-body tan towels for $14.00.

I should stop for now.  I have many more current obsessions, so I promise I'll post "Leslie Loves...Part 2" sometime next week.  I can't overwhelm you with too much too soon...we don't want to break the bank!  :)

  2. So I have been looking for an alternative laundry detergent the past few months...and so I went and bought the 4 oz. Diva (I smelled the others the store had and there were a couple others I am going to try as they smelled really good) - tonight I washed a small load of shirts with it and OMG it smells awesome!!!! I am debating if I'm going to wash our towels in it because I'm afraid that I'll always want to wash my towels in it... ;)
