Leslie Loves...{1.08}

I skipped "Leslie loves..." last week because I was patiently waiting for "that one product" to be re-stocked {which is STILL sold out}, but I won't make you wait another week. Besides, I'm pretty sure you're gonna want to buy this week's "loves" for yourself ASAP!

I'm not gonna lie...I'm terrible when it comes to taking care of my face/complexion. A few weeks ago I received TWO requests to include skincare products in a "Leslie loves..." post. Pretty sure I had a brief panic attack wondering how on earth I was going to suggest a fabulous product when I don't even use ANY product on a regular basis...but then it hit me that this was my wake-up call that I must start taking care of my skin. {Apparently I'm not getting any younger...what?!?}  Enter research mode. I talked to a few friends who actually do include good skincare practices in their daily routines and I also hit up google. I decided to try Ole Henriksen's 3 Little Wonders.

Fabulous decision, if I do say so myself! All the current hype around Vitamin C and its ability to fight the signs of aging played a big role in my decision to try Ole Henriksen's 3 Little Wonders. All three products contain Vitamin C, so I hopped on the bandwagon. Who knows if the Vitamin C really does all it claims to do, but it can't hurt to try it...and the orange scent is so fresh and clean!

The 3 little Wonders {and their claimed results} include:
  • Truth Serum Collagen Booster: helps smooth out lines and wrinkles and prevents further damage
  • Sheer Transformation: helps fade discoloration {freckles, age spots, sun damage}
  • Invigorating Night Gel: renews skin cells for noticeably firmer and smoother skin
I've only been using the products for two weeks, so I can't give any feedback on the long-term impacts of using these 3 Little Wonders on a consistent basis. However, I can tell you that since I've been using the products my skin is noticeably brighter and more even {color and smoothness}. My makeup goes on smoother and seems to last longer. I'm more than happy with these results...but do you wanna know my favorite thing about the 3 Little Wonders? It's just SO.EASY...and QUICK! It's not a long and drawn-out process the requires 2,394,857 steps every single morning and night. Like I said above, I'm bad about sticking to a skincare regimen because I'm busy {I just can't help it that a few extra minutes of sleep in the morning is always gonna win with me!}...but I'm pretty sure I can stick to this simple three-step {2 at night, 1 in the morning} process.

{Neutral colored} TOMS

I once said, "I'll never wear TOMS or Crocs!" {Don't worry, I'm still sticking to my guns re: Crocs!} However, my no-longer-in-my-20s feet tend to L.O.V.E. flats a little more now than in previous years, so last summer I gave in and tried these Classic Crochet Slip-On TOMS. Let me tell you, NO REGRETS WHATSOEVER...well, maybe I do regret waiting so long to give these super-lightweight, fabulously-comfortable, wear-anywhere, for-a-good-cause, C.U.T.E. shoes a chance!

Not only do I own the crochet TOMS above, but I also bought these fun Classic Leopard Slip-On TOMS for fall/winter {DUH...animal print is the new neutral!}, but I'm pretty sure I'll wear these little gems all the way through spring as well.

Just a couple of sidenotes:
  • The leopard spots are lighter "in real life" {i.e. they're actually more "neutral" than the picture indicates}.
  • TOMS only come in full sizes, so if you typically wear a half-size, order a size down.

One more thing...

Thank you Julie and Joclyn {check out her blog here, it's HA-LARious!} for asking me about skincare products...at the very least your requests pushed me to actually start taking care of my own skin. And to everyone reading this, PLEASE keep the comments/questions/suggestions coming! I love to hear from you!

  1. I am so excited that my daughter has decided to stick with a skin care product. She is really fortunate to have such fabulous skin & throughout her younger years didn't think she needed to take care of her face. She has me curious, so I might even be trying this product.

  2. Ha, I too don't spend any time on my skincare routine but I might have to change that. I am also obsessed with TOMS; they are the best. You might want to try their flats; I did last fall and wore them to death. I love reading your blog.

  3. I LOVE Ole Henriksen 3 Little Wonders!! Last year, when I turned 29, I decided to start taking better care of my skin, as I am horrible about that as well. It is wonderful stuff! The truth serum is amazing! I quit using it to try something else for a few months, and that was a bad idea. I am getting back together with Ole, cause he is THE BEST!!! :)
