Leslie Loves...{1.12}

I don't really have an intro for today's "Leslie Loves..." post, so let's just get to it!

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer

I once was one of those girls who didn't understand the point of foundation primer...I thought it was just a tactic for the makeup artists to make a little more commission by selling me something I didn't need. Since I wasn't about to give in to these sales pitches, I guess it's a good thing Smashbox practices the drug-dealer approach when it comes to marketing {give them free samples until they're addicted}. Every.single.time I ordered anything from Smashbox, I'd get a sample packet of this Photo Finish Foundation Primer, which I usually just tossed in a drawer. Then one day I actually tried it. Whoa. My mind was blown. {you know, like the guy on the AT&T commercials with the little kids...} Not only did my makeup seriously last ALL.DAY.LONG...but it only took about half as much foundation to cover my entire face because it went on so smoothly and looked evenly spread without any extra effort on my part. ultimate conclusion is that the makeup artist might make a bit more money by selling me the Photo Finish Foundation Primer, BUT the lasting-life of my foundation is now much longer {i.e. in terms of dollars and based on the cost of my foundation, it's pretty much a wash}.

I've only used the basic Photo Finish Foundation Primer, but it comes in a variety of formulas for different skin types and complexion concerns.

FYI: This little love of mine {the basic formula} is part of Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty Steals and will be 50% off on Saturday, April 5 {both in-store and online for one day only!}.

Jamberry Nails

I have fat little fingers, so you'll almost always see my nails polished in an effort to make my hands prettier! Recently I've discover these fun little nail wraps {thank you, Rachael, for the fabulous Jayhawk print just in time for March Madness!}...

I like the "party nail" look with just one nail having the Jamberrry wrap, but I've seen photos of full "Jamberry manicures" that look good too. They're really easy to apply, but I'm not sure I'd have the patience to do all 10 fingers, so I think I'll just stick with one on each hand for now! Click here to check out all the different styles you can choose from to brighten your manicure! Oh, and they always offer a "buy 3, get 1 free" try a few prints/designs! If you have questions, e-mail Jennifer {she's a Jamberry consultant} at

I got ridiculously sick halfway through this blog post, so I only had time to cover two products this week {because it had to be posted today so you can take advantage of the Smashbox foundation primer being 50% off tomorrow!!!}. Don't forget to let me know what you think about today's loves...or any loves from the past. Also, are there any specific types of products I should cover in future "Leslie Loves..." posts? I love hearing from you, so don't hold back!

Happy Weekend!

And don't forget about the Ulta sale {tomorrow}!
