Five on Friday: A Tribute to Mother's Day!

It's almost Mother's Day! I'll be the first to admit that I'd be lost in this world without the daily encouragement/advice I receive from my A-MAZing mom. I'm so incredibly grateful for the close relationship I have with her. Today I am linking-up with April {A.Liz Adventures}, Christina {North Carolina Charm}, Darci {The Good Life} and Natasha {Hello! Happiness} to share with you five things somehow related to moms!

5 on Friday, Blog Link-up

One: My Mom

I'm sooooo glad I was able to spend this week with my mom in Myrtle Beach. Although I won't be able to celebrate Mother's Day with her on the actual day, I'll happily take spending an entire week together over just being able to see her for one day.

Two: My Mother-in-Law

This is the first year I've officially had a mother-in-law to celebrate on Mother's Day! And let me just tell you, I lucked out in the mother-in-law department! Ryan's mom is one of the kindest, most considerate, genuinely sincere women I've ever met.  I truly love her, and I'm so grateful to have joined such an awesome family.

Three: My Grandma

I'm so blessed to still have my grandma in my life! She is one incredible lady...who made a valiant effort to teach me her phenomenal domestic skills when I was younger. She had me cross-stitching and baking bread like a pro when I was about 10...it's true, believe it. Now she's settled for explaining to me over the phone how to sift flour without a sifter when I'm baking a cake...and I think she was just as shocked as you when I told her I was baking a cake! Ha. Anyway, this woman has been an amazing role model throughout my life, and I love her more than words can express!

Three Generations: my mom {Vickie}, me, and my grandma {Lois}

Four: Mother's Day Gifts

I'm so proud of the Mother's Day gifts I put together this year. My OCD, Type-A, borderline-crazy personality spent entirely too much time selecting photos and choosing layouts for wedding photo albums for our moms...but the final product was beyond worth it! Ryan's mom received hers in the mail yesterday, so we went ahead and gave my mom's to her last night while she was still in town. Their reactions were priceless! There's nothing better than giving someone a gift that you know they love!

Five: Carolyn Grace Ashley

Remember my post about attending a baby shower for Kathryn and Baby Ashley a few weeks ago {see it here}? Well.....Miss Carolyn Grace Ashley arrived just in time to be the absolute Best.Mother's.Day.Gift.EVER for Kathryn!
