The Proposal {Leslie's Version}:
December 22, 2012. Ryan had convinced me that he'd volunteered us to pose for some photos to help his friend who was trying to build his photography portfolio. During the "photo shoot," I turned around to find Ryan down on one knee holding a very sparkly diamond and started crying before he even said a word. There are two statements I remember him saying: 1) "I knew from the moment I first met you in Dallas," and 2) "I'd just like to ask you Question #1000, 'Will you marry me?'" Turns out his friend wasn't really working on his portfolio, but I L.O.V.E. that we have the proposal captured in photos. He pulled off a total surprise!
The Proposal {Ryan's Version}:
I knew I had the right diamond when we went to the dealer to look at rings and she dropped this diamond as the jeweler handed it to her. The great thing was that she thought it was one that someone else had already bought. She had no clue that it was mine. When it came to popping the question, Leslie and I had two different ideas of the perfect proposal. Hers was public and mine was private. I knew we needed pictures to tell the story, so I had a friend stage the whole thing. Leslie thought we were posing for my friend's photography portfolio. It worked out perfect! Toward the end of the session I got down on one knee and turned her around to see me holding the ring. Once she gained her composure, she finally said "Yes!"
