Bumpdate: 29 Weeks

Due Date: August 5, 2015

How far along?: 29 weeks, 6 days

Gender: It's a BOY!

New updates/news: Our little guy's heart was beating strong {140 bpm} at our OB appointment last week, and my belly is measuring right on track! I've now graduated to OB appointments every two weeks rather than four weeks apart...we're getting close to meeting our precious baby boy!

Total weight gain:  25 pounds...you know, the amount that you're supposed to gain throughout the ENTIRE pregnancy...and I still have 11 weeks to go!

Stretch marks?: A couple of very light and small lines on my sides...hopefully they'll stay faint or maybe even fade away!  I'm still using a mixture of Bio-Oil and St. Ives lotion every night.

Symptoms: I guess the third trimester exhaustion has set in. I'm sleepy ALL.THE.TIME...and my entire body just feels worn out.

Maternity clothes?:  For sure...comfort has become my top priority!

Sleep:  Cannot get enough sleep! Last night I went to bed at 8:30, I'm not even kidding. I wake up several times throughout the night, either to go to the bathroom or to try to find a more comfortable position {getting more and more difficult by the day!}. Recently I've been moving to the couch at some point during the night because it's much easier for me to stay on my side when I use the back of the couch as a wall to prevent me from rolling over to my back.

Cravings:  Still loving the same foods: watermelon, cereal, taco salads, grilled cheese. No new cravings at the moment.

Best Moment of the Week: Being back in Medicine Lodge for our first baby shower! Our little midget man is already so loved...and spoiled! It was so nice to be "home" to see family and friends.

My dear friend, Brandy {a shower hostess}, and her sweet daughter, Preslee.

I failed to get a pic with my mom and mother-in-law while we were AT the shower...
so please disregard the t-shirt and rain-matted hair!
LOVE these two so much! Exceptional role models/mothers to look up to!

Worst Moment of the Week: While traveling back to Dallas from Kansas this past weekend, we had to take several detours to avoid scary weather and flooded roads. I'm soooooo grateful Ryan was with me {and driving} because I probably would have had a panic attack and still be stuck somewhere in the middle of Oklahoma!

Workouts: Walks around our neighborhood...when it's not raining, which is very rare these days!

Mood: I've been feeling so incredibly grateful! Grateful for the easy and enjoyable pregnancy I've experienced thus far, beyond grateful for my A-MAZing husband who takes everything in stride and never seems to lose his patience with me {even when I'm acting a bit ungrateful!}, appreciative of the exceptional support network of family and friends that we have in our lives!

Nursery: Full of boxes and gift bags! We've got A LOT of sorting/organizing to do...but it's so fun to go through all the bright-colored baby gear/toys and tiny little outfits! We just can't wait until he's here to use all these fabulous gifts!

Movement: Funny thing...there was a 4.0 earthquake in Kansas while we were there this past weekend. I felt it, but I seriously thought it was just the baby dancing around in my belly. I guess it's become natural for me to feel him moving around, so I expect it {and assume all movements are associated with him}...but I most definitely wasn't expecting the whole house to be shaking. One of these days he'll be happy to know that I truly believed his little kicks and jabs inside my belly were equivalent to the entire earth moving.

Wedding Rings:  On.

Belly Button: In.

Looking Forward To: Seeing our baby boy on the sonogram screen at our next appointment. We haven't seen him via sonogram since the 20-week appointment, so we're definitely looking forward to it.

Burnin' It Down + The Big Revival

Brantley Gilbert, Jason Aldean and Kenny Chesney at AT&T Stadium...it was a pretty good line-up, that's for sure! We bought the tickets last fall {back before I knew I was pregnant}. Not gonna lie...the day of the concert arrived, and I wasn't exactly excited about going to another major country music event knowing I'd be consuming ZERO cocktails. Concerts are just meant for drinking a beer or two...or five! Am I wrong?!!? I sucked it up and got ready to go...mainly because I owe these girls a few {dozen} nights at the designated driver...and I'm so glad that I did! Such a fun night with great friends and fabulous music!

And now...a photo dump of our night spent with Jason Aldean & Kenny Chesney...

{All photos courtesy of my fabulous friend Jess...THANKS for sharing!}

The required "outside the stadium" photo!

Kansas girls reunited in Texas for a love of country music!

Our seats were super high up in the stadium {believe me, it took FOR-EV-ER to walk up the million ramps to get to our level}, but we were close to the stage...and with the HUGE screen in Cowboys Stadium, there really is no such thing as a bad seat!

We missed seeing Old Dominion and Cole Swindell, so Brantley Gilbert was first on deck...

Followed by Jason Aldean...

And Kenny Chesney was the final act. We realized this was the third year in a row for four of us {Darcy, Andrea, Jess & me} to have seen Kenny at Cowboys Stadium... #worthit #he'sagreatentertainer #butstillnoGeorgeStrait

Kenny puts on one heckuva show...FULL.OF.ENERGY! He was constantly running around, from one end of the stage to the other. It wore me out just watching him! He's an entertainer who makes a point to make it known that he loves the music and is genuinely appreciative of his fans.

And then he sang "Boys of Fall"...

And brought out Jason Witten to sign a helmet to give away to a lucky fan...

Definitely the sweetest moment of the whole night. They pulled this tiny little girl up on stage and gave her the signed helmet! Can you imagine how excited she must have been???

Jason Aldean came back out and sang a few songs with Kenny, including "Hurt So Good."

Thanks for a great night, guys...

And just a couple more fun pics...
The obligatory bathroom photo op.
Darcy said, "Hey Les, normally when you're drunk we take a bathroom pic!"

Jimmy Johns was giving away sandwiches after the show.
...Once again reminding me just how much I miss cold sandwiches during this pregnancy!

Bumpdate: 28 Weeks

Due Date: August 5, 2015

How far along?: 28 weeks, 5 days

Gender: It's a BOY!

Total weight gain:  I'll know after tomorrow's OB appointment...hoping the weight gain this past month has been manageable.

Stretch marks?: I've spied slight hints of stretch marks on my sides, but I haven't seen any on my belly yet. I'm still using a mixture of Bio-Oil and St. Ives lotion every night.

Symptoms: No new symptoms that I can think of...once again, I just want to make it known how incredibly thankful I am that this pregnancy has been so easy/enjoyable thus far. It's definitely not something I take for granted because I know several girls who've been sick the entire time or just had challenging pregnancies in general.

Maternity clothes?:  All day, every day. Current goal is to find cute outfits for my upcoming baby showers!

Sleep:  I've felt more tired recently than I did during the second trimester, but apparently that is to be expected...I've also been travelling + really busy, so I'm sure that has played a role in the semi-exhaustion. I've actually been sleeping pretty well...as long as I'm not hot! It seems like the temperature in our bedroom spikes around the time I'm ready to go to bed, so poor Ryan gets to listen to a good 10 minutes of me whining about being hot. {I've nagged so much that we finally have someone coming to check out our AC units this week...because I know I'm not losing my mind...it really is HOT in our house at night!} I think I better start saving my pennies {or Ben Franklins} to cover the electric bill for these last couple of months of pregnancy. Hello, Texas summer! :)

Cravings:  Grilled cheese, please!

Best Moment of the Week: Although I initially wasn't very excited about it, attending the Jason Aldean/Kenny Chesney concert turned out to be fabulous fun! I owe these girls at least a few dozen nights of being their designated driver, so it felt pretty good to pay back a fraction of my debt! More details to come on the concert in a later post!

Worst Moment of the Week: I learned that this little midget man doesn't really like to fly...as in I puked on the airplane last week en route to Las Vegas for a work conference. Granted, it was a pretty rough flight, but I think being pregnant factored in because I've never in my life had to use one of those little puke bags before...thank goodness it was there! I was absolutely mortified, but the lady sitting next to me was soooooo incredibly kind and understanding! I didn't get sick on the return flight to Dallas, but he was fidgeting around the entire flight just enough to make sure I knew he was unhappy! With all that said, I'm really looking forward to my upcoming flight this Friday...

Workouts: Just leisurely little strolls with Lily. Oh, and trekking up a million ramps to get to our seats for the concert at Cowboys Stadium...don't worry, we found the escalator for the trip down!

Mood: I'm starting to feel a little overwhelmed with all that we have to do before our little guy arrives, so sometimes I might be just a little anxious/on edge. Nothing too crazy, though...right, Husband?!!?

Nursery: Progress is being made! We're going to hang a peg board with baskets/shelves above the changing table, so that's our next major project. I think I've decided to go with the dark brown glider/recliner, so we need to get that purchased soon. We've received a few gifts in the mail {so exciting!}, so his room is actually starting to be filled with "baby stuff!"

Movement: He's getting big enough/strong enough that I can feel him moving around no matter how active/busy I am. Prior to the last week, I had to be sitting/lying pretty still to notice his movements, but not anymore! I still get excited every time I feel him wiggling.

Wedding Rings:  On.

Belly Button: In.

Looking Forward To: Our first baby shower is this coming weekend in Medicine Lodge...can't wait to catch up with friends/family from "home."

Six Days Old

My BFF Rachael gave birth to this sweet baby girl on Cinco de Mayo. Momma and baby are both doing well and settling in at home with Daddy and big brother, Max. Speaking of big brother, Max...Rosy Posie Photography captured some priceless images of Max meeting his baby sister...
