Bumpdate 2.0: 18 Weeks

Due Date: December 1, 2017

How far along?: 18 weeks

Gender: It's a BOY!

Total weight gain:  ~12 pounds???

Stretch marks?: None that I can see.

Symptoms: I'm so happy to report that I've felt great the past couple of weeks! Maybe there is some truth to that "second trimester sweet spot" people talk about!

Maternity clothes?: Yes, I'd say 75% of my current attire is maternity...especially when it comes to work clothes. I can still get by with my regular lounge clothes at home and a few loose-fitting t-shirts, but I finally just accepted that I'd be in full-on maternity clothes much earlier with this pregnancy...and I've been much more comfortable since then!

Sleep:  No trouble sleeping! I've been getting hot in the night, so sometimes I'll move to the couch where I can sleep directly below an AC vent...easy solution to that problem.

Cravings: Cereal, fruit-flavored yogurt and toast {with cinnamon and sugar or honey}!

Food Aversions: None

Movement: I feel this little guy moving/kicking at least once per day.  It's usually in the mid-afternoon or early evening. There's truly nothing better than that gentle reminder that I'm growing a tiny little miracle in my belly!

Best Moment of the Week: Although Huston sometimes thinks the baby is in HIS tummy when you ask him about it, I have to admit that my heart melted a million times over this past week when he pointed at my belly and said, "Brudder."

Worst Moment of the Week:  It's been a pretty good week, so I can't think of a "worst moment"...but we did take H in to see Dr. Diana because we thought he had an ear infection. He'd been acting so much fussier than usual and he was pulling on both ears, so we took him in just to be safe. Turns out his ears were clear {thank goodness!}, but she thinks he's probably cutting his two-year molars. He's had a low-grade fever the past couple of days, but he doesn't act like he feels bad. Unfortunately, we somehow managed to lose his amber necklace last we've GOT to get to the store and get him a new one because I firmly believe those things work to reduce the pain of teething!

Miss Anything?: fitting into my cute summer sundresses...but that's trivial! I'll gladly suffer through the summer in maternity clothes to add a new addition to our family!

Looking Forward To: Seeing family and friends over the long 4th of July holiday weekend.  Oh...and of course, the sonogram/OB appointment next week!  Can't wait to see our little guy on the screen!
